- Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): To check if incoming callers are in your contact list and exempt them from blocking
- Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE): To detect incoming calls in real-time
- Call Log (READ_CALL_LOG): To maintain a history of blocked calls within the app
- Post Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To show you notifications when calls are blocked
Optional Permissions
- Add Contacts (WRITE_CONTACTS): Only used when you manually choose to add a blocked number to your contacts from the block list
How We Use Your Information
All data accessed by Spam Fortress is:
- ✓ Stored locally on your device only
- ✓ Never transmitted to external servers
- ✓ Never shared with third parties
- ✓ Never sold or used for advertising
- ✓ Used solely to provide call blocking functionality
Data Storage
What We Store Locally
- Blocked area codes: Stored in your device's local storage
- Allowed area codes: Stored in your device's local storage (when using Allow Only mode)
- Individual blocked numbers: Stored in your device's local storage
- Call history:
- Free users: Last 25 blocked calls
- Pro users: Last 100 blocked calls
- Schedule settings: Your blocking schedule preferences (Pro feature)
- App preferences: Your blocking mode, notification settings, etc.
What We DON'T Store
- ✗ We do not store your contacts
- ✗ We do not store your call log beyond the blocked calls history
- ✗ We do not store any personal information
- ✗ We do not store your payment information (handled by Google)
Subscription Information
Spam Fortress offers optional paid subscriptions and one-time purchases through Google Play:
- Monthly Subscription: $1.29/month
- Annual Subscription: $6.99/year
- Lifetime Purchase: $15.99 one-time
Payment Processing
- All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play
- We do not collect, see, or store your payment information
- Your subscription status is checked through Google Play Billing API
- All billing data is handled by Google per their privacy policy
Grace Period
When your Pro subscription expires:
- You have 7 days to reduce your blocked items to Free limits
- Daily reminders show how many days remain
- After 7 days, excess items are automatically removed
- Newest items are removed first, oldest items are kept
Third-Party Services
Spam Fortress uses only one third-party service:
Google Play Billing
- Purpose: To process purchases and subscriptions
- Data shared: Your Google account's purchase status only
- Privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy
What We Don't Use
- ✗ No analytics services
- ✗ No advertising networks
- ✗ No tracking or telemetry
- ✗ No crash reporting services
- ✗ No cloud storage services
Data Security
We take security seriously:
- All data is stored using Android's secure SharedPreferences
- App data is protected by Android's app sandbox
- No network transmission of personal data
- Code is obfuscated with R8/ProGuard
Data Deletion
You can delete all app data at any time by:
- Clear app data: Settings → Apps → Spam Fortress → Storage → Clear Data
- Uninstall the app: This removes all data permanently
When you uninstall the app:
- All blocked area codes are deleted
- All call history is deleted
- All preferences are deleted
- Your subscription status remains with Google Play (managed through Google Play Store)
Data Deletion Requests
How to Delete Your Data
Since all data is stored only on your device, you can delete it instantly:
Method 1: Clear App Data
- Open Android Settings
- Tap "Apps" or "Applications"
- Find and tap "Spam Fortress"
- Tap "Storage"
- Tap "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"
Method 2: Uninstall App
- Long-press the Spam Fortress icon
- Tap "Uninstall"
- Confirm uninstall
This permanently removes:
- All blocked area codes
- All blocked numbers
- All call history
- All app settings
No Server-Side Data
Spam Fortress does not collect or store any data on our servers. We cannot delete data that doesn't exist in our systems. Everything is private and under your control.

Children's Privacy
Spam Fortress does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

International Users
Spam Fortress is available worldwide. All data is stored locally on your device regardless of your location. No data is transferred internationally.
